Loot and Inventory

Loot
When you kill a NPC you have a good chance of a "loot drop". In Age of Conan loot comes in the form of a bag or a chest. Double click on the loot bag to see what's in it, and choose to place the items in your inventory. The higher the level of the NPC, the better loot you will get. In addition to items you will also often receive coin. Killing a boss or raid mob produces the best loot in the game. In addition to NPC loot drops, you will sometimes find chests (often guarded by a boss mob) out in the open. These chests will sometimes contain quest items, such as keys. 

Inventory and Equipment
To toggle your inventory use the "I" key on your keyboard or click the Inventory button in the Character Menu at the top of your screen. Your inventory is what you are carrying on your person. Whenever you visit a town you should sell anything you do not want in order to free up space in your inventory. You may cursor over items to read a description of the item. After scoring some kills and looting corpses, be sure to compare your Inventory screen to your Equipment screen to see if you have picked up any armor or weapon upgrades. Simply hover over the item to compare its stats to your current stats, and click the item in your inventory to move it to your body.
