Free two weeks Age of Conan for returning players DateTime:9/27/2009 11:20:23 AM
Age of Conan had a major content patch, Update 5.Shortly thereafter, it was reported there were over 1,000,000 copies shipped. However, the latest numbers in 2009 state there are over 300,000 players. That is a drop off of about 700,000 people, and a decrease of 70% of monthly revenue. There is a new playfield for characters level 75-80, Tarantia Commons. This includes two new dungeons, Attilius' Mansion and Crows' Nest. There were updates to guilds and guild-city life. When the on-line MMORPG Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures launched in 2008, it was reported there were 500,000 games pre-ordered or purchased.
Funcom believes that the changes are significant enough that the players who dropped out of the game will enjoy it once more. They are offering two free weeks of game play to returning players. This offer ends July 22, so ex-adventurers should hurry to take advantage, and check out what's new. Now, as the guild city becomes bigger, it gains more population, and more population brings with it new functionality. There were numerous changes to items, combat, and PvP.
