Erling Ellingsen on the Past and Present

GameSource.it chats with Funcom's Erling Ellingsen to talk about the pre-release hype of Age of Conan, and the status of the game today. There is still a large team working on Age of Conan, both the live product and the up-coming expansion pack. Watch for more news on trials, new PvP content and Update 5 coming soon.Of course there is more stuff in that update other than content, and the biggest one is the revamp of the item system. Item statistics have changed completely, and they will be shown in a completely different manner in the game. 

Update 5, which will contain new content such as Tarantia Commons and dungeons associated with it. Items will suddenly matter more and have a more profound effect on your character.While Erling does not provide information on subscriber numbers, he does say that things are moving in the right direction. As far as Funcom's campaign to win back players goes, they are biding their time to make sure all of the important game updates are in place.
