Hopefully you have been harvesting the materials needed for the recipe, if not now is a good time to go learn harvesting from the nearby NPCs. You can learn harvesting at 20, and it is a good idea to start collecting materials early. For the purpose of this guide we are going to assume that you have all the resources you need.

If you look at the recipe you will see that you need simple thread, and cotton to create the canvas gloves. It appears that we have harvested the cotton, but don’t have any thread yet. Simply head to the merchant in town and purchase some. If you look in your book of crafting recipes again you will now see that some of the items are black. This means that you have what you need to craft the item. Also worth noting is the small dagger  that is in front of some of the items . This indicates that you have never made this item before.
