When starting new pieces I would discuss how to approach them with Morten and Gaute before returning to my studio to make sketches. When the drafts were ready, we would listen through them together and decide whether they where OK and ready to go on to recording.

The preparations for a recording session include both the creation of scores/parts for the musicians, writing lyrics, making support tracks of each instrument group of each cue to bring to the studio as well as hiring musicians and studio.
